Sweet And Sour Chicken

From the kitchen of Nathalie

I got this recipe from my sister, She makes it all the time! It is so good even my kids and husband love it! It's good over rice or whatever you desire.

Ingredients:

For chicken-

I lb of chicken,  cuts in cubes
corn starch
Pepper
Eggs, beaten
Vegetable oil

For sauce-

3/4 to 1 cup sugar (depends how sweet you want it)
1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
4 tbs ketchup
1 tbs soy sauce
1 tbs garlic salt
Onions (optional )

Directions:
On stove-
1. Warm up vegetable oil in a pan. Than in zip lock bag mix corn starch and pepper. Once to coat chicken in egg,  shake in zip lock bag until coated. Than fry in pan on each side for about 1 1/2 minutes.

2. While doing the chicken. You need to combine all the ingredients for the sauce in a medium pan on medium heat until boils than let it simmer for about 20 to 30 minutes.

For oven- you still do steps 1 and instead of heating up sauce just mix it together in bowl than once chicken is done in caserole dish pour sauce over chicken for about 45 minutes on 350 degrees.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease 3 small loaf pans.
Mix flour, baking soda, and salt together in a bowl.
Beat butter and sugar with an electric mixer in a large bowl until light and fluffy. The mixture should be noticeably lighter in color. Add 1 egg and allow to blend into the butter mixture before adding the second egg along with vanilla extract. Beat mashed bananas thoroughly into the mixture. Add flour mixture in small increments while beating until just combined into a thick batter. Fold blueberries into the batter; pour into prepared loaf pans.
Bake in the preheated oven until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean, 30 to 35 minutes. Cool in the pans for 10 minutes before removing to cool completely on a wire rack.
